Job Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity for a Warehouse Supervisor in our busy Chicago, Illinois facility. This leadership role is critical to overseeing daily warehouse operations, managing a team of warehouse associates, and ensuring efficiency, safety, and productivity. The ideal candidate will have proven leadership experience in a warehouse or logistics environment, a strong understanding of inventory management, and a commitment to fostering a safe and productive workplace. You will be responsible for motivating your team, optimizing workflow, and implementing best practices in all aspects of warehouse management.
Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of warehouse staff, including scheduling and performance management.
  • Oversee receiving, warehousing, distribution, and maintenance operations.
  • Implement and enforce all safety procedures and protocols, ensuring compliance with regulations.
  • Manage inventory levels, conduct cycle counts, and ensure accuracy.
  • Optimize warehouse layout and workflow for maximum efficiency and productivity.
  • Train and mentor new and existing staff on job duties, safety, and logistics procedures.
  • Ensure proper use of equipment and adherence to maintenance schedules.
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Maintain a high standard of housekeeping and organization throughout the warehouse.
  • Ensure the correct usage of PPE by all team members and promote a safety-first culture.

Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a Warehouse Supervisor or in a similar leadership role within logistics.
  • Strong understanding of warehouse operations, inventory management, and supply chain principles.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and motivate a team.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices, including experience with PPE requirements.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS) and relevant software.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in logistics or related field a plus.
