We are seeking a skilled and experienced Warehouse Technician for our Sacramento, California facility. This role is essential for maintaining the operational efficiency and safety of our warehouse. The Warehouse Technician will be responsible for the upkeep, repair, and preventive maintenance of warehouse equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, conveyor systems, and other material handling equipment. You will also assist in managing inventory accuracy, ensuring proper organization of warehouse space, and upholding all safety regulations. A strong mechanical aptitude, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to safety are crucial for success in this position. This is a great opportunity to utilize your technical skills in a critical logistics support role.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance on warehouse equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks, conveyors, etc.).
- Diagnose and repair equipment malfunctions in a timely manner.
- Implement and manage a preventive maintenance schedule to minimize downtime.
- Ensure all equipment is operating safely and efficiently.
- Maintain records of maintenance and repairs.
- Assist with the organization and layout of warehouse storage areas.
- Support inventory control processes, including cycle counts and discrepancy resolution.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, including OSHA standards and company policies.
- Properly utilize and maintain PPE and tools.
- Respond to emergency maintenance requests as needed.
- Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement in warehouse operations and logistics.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate's degree in a related field is preferred.
- Proven experience as a maintenance technician, preferably in a warehouse or industrial setting.
- Strong mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic troubleshooting skills.
- Proficiency with diagnostic tools and equipment repair.
- Experience with various types of material handling equipment.
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations and warehouse safety standards.
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and perform physical tasks as required.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Commitment to safety and the proper use of PPE.
- Understanding of logistics operations and their impact on equipment needs.
