We are looking for a meticulous and organized individual to manage and maintain the accuracy of our warehouse inventory. This role is vital for ensuring efficient operations, minimizing stock discrepancies, and supporting our logistics efforts. The Inventory Control Specialist will conduct regular cycle counts, investigate inventory variances, implement process improvements, and maintain precise inventory records within our system. You will work closely with warehouse associates and management to uphold inventory integrity. If you have a keen eye for detail, a knack for problem-solving, and experience in inventory management, this is an excellent opportunity to contribute to our success.
Responsibilities:
- Execute daily cycle count programs and reconcile discrepancies.
- Investigate root causes of inventory variances and implement corrective actions.
- Manage inventory adjustments, returns, and transfers accurately.
- Maintain the integrity of inventory data in the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Develop and refine inventory control procedures to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
- Generate and analyze inventory reports to monitor stock levels and identify trends.
- Ensure proper organization and storage of all inventory items.
- Collaborate with operations and purchasing teams to forecast inventory needs and resolve issues.
- Monitor stock rotation (e.g., FIFO) to minimize waste.
- Uphold stringent safety standards, including proper use of PPE and adherence to lifting guidelines.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; further education or certification is a plus.
- Demonstrated experience in inventory control or warehouse operations.
- Proficiency in WMS software and Microsoft Excel.
- Exceptional analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Strong understanding of logistics and supply chain principles.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Meticulous attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Knowledge of safety procedures and willingness to use required PPE.
