Are you detail-oriented and passionate about accuracy? Our Raleigh, North Carolina facility is looking for an Inventory Control Specialist to manage and maintain the integrity of our warehouse stock. This role is crucial for our logistics operations, ensuring that our inventory records are precise and reflect the actual physical stock. You will be responsible for conducting regular cycle counts, investigating inventory discrepancies, implementing corrective actions, and maintaining organized stock locations. Your work will directly impact our efficiency, order fulfillment accuracy, and overall operational success. We prioritize a safe work environment and expect all team members to diligently use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and follow all established safety procedures. Strong analytical skills, problem-solving abilities, and a thorough understanding of inventory management principles are essential. Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) is highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform regular cycle counts and physical inventories to ensure accuracy of stock records.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, identifying root causes and implementing preventative measures.
- Maintain accurate inventory data within the warehouse management system (WMS).
- Monitor stock levels, identify slow-moving or obsolete items, and report findings.
- Optimize warehouse layout and storage locations to improve inventory accessibility and efficiency.
- Develop and implement inventory control procedures to minimize shrinkage and loss.
- Ensure all inventory handling complies with safety regulations and the proper use of PPE.
- Coordinate with receiving and shipping departments to ensure seamless inventory flow.
- Analyze inventory data to identify trends and provide insights for operational improvements in logistics.
- Train warehouse staff on inventory management best practices and procedures.
