Our distribution center in Kansas City, Missouri, is seeking a motivated Distribution Center Associate. This role is integral to the smooth functioning of our logistics operations, handling a variety of tasks to ensure efficient workflow. As a Distribution Center Associate, you will be involved in receiving incoming shipments, accurately stocking shelves, picking and packing customer orders, and preparing items for shipment. You'll operate essential warehouse equipment and maintain a clean and safe work environment. We are looking for individuals who are reliable, possess a strong work ethic, and are committed to upholding our safety standards. Proper lifting techniques and adherence to all safety protocols are crucial. We provide comprehensive training and all necessary Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming inventory.
- Accurately place inventory into designated storage locations.
- Pick and pack orders based on customer requirements and order specifications.
- Prepare outgoing shipments, ensuring proper packaging and labeling.
- Operate pallet jacks, hand trucks, and other warehouse equipment safely.
- Conduct regular inventory checks and assist with cycle counting.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in all work areas.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of PPE.
- Work collaboratively with team members to meet production goals.
- Report any safety concerns or operational issues to management.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or distribution center is advantageous but not required.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Understanding of basic logistics and warehouse operations.
- Willingness to follow safety guidelines and wear required PPE.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
- Adaptability to perform various warehouse duties as needed.
