Job Summary:
Our Atlanta, Georgia distribution center is looking for a skilled Inventory Control Specialist. This vital role ensures the accuracy and integrity of our inventory, which is fundamental to our overall logistics and supply chain success. The Inventory Control Specialist will be responsible for conducting regular cycle counts, reconciling inventory discrepancies, and managing stock levels to prevent shortages or overages. You will analyze inventory data, identify trends, and recommend improvements to inventory management processes. A strong understanding of warehouse operations and inventory systems is crucial. This position requires meticulous attention to detail, analytical skills, and the ability to work independently. You will collaborate closely with warehouse staff, management, and other departments to maintain optimal inventory accuracy. We are dedicated to maintaining a safe work environment, providing all necessary Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), and enforcing strict safety protocols. The role may involve some lifting, but the primary focus is on data accuracy and process management within our logistics hub. Responsibilities:
  • Perform regular cycle counts and physical inventories.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records in the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
  • Monitor stock levels and report any significant deviations.
  • Analyze inventory data to identify root causes of errors.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve inventory accuracy and efficiency.
  • Coordinate with receiving and shipping departments to ensure proper stock rotation and movement.
  • Conduct audits of warehouse processes related to inventory control.
  • Generate reports on inventory status, accuracy, and movement.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and use of PPE.

Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Proven experience in inventory control or warehouse management.
  • Proficiency with WMS software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
  • Knowledge of logistics and supply chain best practices.
  • Understanding of safety procedures and willingness to use PPE.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to perform light lifting as needed.
