Are you an experienced Material Handler looking for a new opportunity in Minneapolis, Minnesota? Join our logistics team and play a crucial role in the efficient movement of goods within our distribution center. You will be responsible for handling a variety of materials, operating equipment, and ensuring the smooth flow of operations from receiving to shipping. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload materials from trucks, rail cars, and within the warehouse.
- Transport raw materials, finished goods, and supplies to and from designated areas.
- Perform regular inspections and basic maintenance on equipment.
- Assist with inventory management, including cycle counts and stock rotation.
- Ensure all materials are handled and stored according to established procedures and Safety guidelines.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including the proper use of PPE.
- Collaborate with supervisors and team members to meet daily logistics goals.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns immediately.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role.
- Proven ability to operate various types of material handling equipment.
- Strong understanding of warehouse Safety practices and procedures.
- Capacity for Lifting up to 60 pounds regularly.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced logistics environment.
- Team player with good communication skills.
- Must be reliable and possess a strong work ethic.
- Forklift certification is a plus.
