Job Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity for a Shipping Clerk at our Charlotte, North Carolina facility. The Shipping Clerk will manage and coordinate the outbound shipment of goods, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and timely delivery. Your responsibilities will include preparing shipping documentation, verifying outgoing orders, coordinating with carriers, and maintaining shipping records. This role is vital to our logistics operations, ensuring that our products reach their destinations smoothly. You will work closely with the warehouse team and logistics partners to streamline the shipping process. A strong understanding of shipping procedures, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety are essential for success in this role. We prioritize a secure and organized working environment.
Responsibilities:
  • Prepare bills of lading, shipping orders, and other shipping documentation.
  • Verify contents and quantities of outgoing shipments against orders.
  • Schedule and coordinate pickups with freight carriers.
  • Track shipments and provide updates to relevant parties.
  • Maintain accurate shipping records and files.
  • Communicate effectively with internal teams and external partners.
  • Ensure compliance with all shipping regulations and company policies.
  • Operate shipping equipment such as forklifts or pallet jacks (if certified).
  • Adhere to all safety protocols, including the use of appropriate PPE, to ensure a safe logistics operation.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; further education or certification in logistics is a plus.
  • Proven experience as a Shipping Clerk or in a similar logistics role.
  • Proficiency in shipping software and common office applications.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds occasionally.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Knowledge of shipping regulations and documentation requirements.
  • Familiarity with warehouse safety practices.
  • Commitment to workplace safety and proper use of PPE.
