Are you a motivated individual looking for a fast-paced role in our Huntsville, Alabama warehouse? We are hiring a Picker/Packer to be a key part of our order fulfillment process. As a Picker/Packer, you will be responsible for accurately selecting items from warehouse shelves according to customer orders and then carefully packaging them for shipment. This role is critical for ensuring our customers receive their orders correctly and on time. You will work within a dedicated team, utilizing warehouse technology and adhering to strict quality and safety standards. Success in this role requires attention to detail, speed, and a commitment to teamwork. This position is fundamental to our logistics chain and requires a strong focus on operational excellence.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from warehouse locations based on order pick lists.
- Inspect picked items for damage or defects.
- Package items securely and efficiently for shipment, selecting appropriate materials.
- Apply shipping labels and documentation accurately.
- Operate manual and powered equipment for moving goods.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Follow all safety protocols, including the use of required PPE.
- Assist with inventory counts and cycle counts.
- Contribute to overall warehouse efficiency and productivity in our logistics hub.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a picker or packer is a plus.
- Ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods.
- Capable of lifting up to 40 pounds.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Understanding of basic warehouse safety and handling procedures.
- Familiarity with scanning equipment is beneficial.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Commitment to adhering to all company guidelines, including PPE usage, for a safe workplace.
