We are seeking a dedicated Warehouse Associate for our facility in Des Moines, Iowa. In this role, you will be responsible for a variety of essential warehouse tasks, including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping. You will play a key part in our supply chain, ensuring the efficient movement of goods. A strong emphasis is placed on workplace safety , and all employees are expected to adhere to strict guidelines and utilize required PPE . This position offers a stable work environment with opportunities for growth. The ideal candidate is reliable, detail-oriented, and works well in a team. Understanding the principles of logistics and efficient warehouse operations is beneficial. This role requires regular physical activity, including standing, walking, and lifting .
Responsibilities:
- Receive and unload shipments, verifying contents against purchase orders.
- Organize and stock inventory in designated areas.
- Accurately pick orders based on customer requirements.
- Pack items securely and efficiently for shipment.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks safely.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work environment, free from hazards.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures, including proper use of PPE .
- Participate in inventory counts to ensure accuracy.
- Assist with loading and unloading trucks as necessary.
- Support the overall efficiency of our logistics operations.
Qualifications:
Previous warehouse experience is a plus but not required. Must be able to stand for prolonged periods, walk, bend, and perform lifting up to 50 pounds. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. Good teamwork and communication skills. Punctual and reliable with a strong work ethic. Ability to work in a fast-paced setting. Familiarity with warehouse operations and logistics concepts is helpful. Commitment to upholding workplace safety standards and using PPE correctly is essential.
