CDL Truck Driver

Normal Work Schedule:

Hours of Work: Variable.

Days of Work: Variable.

Note: The hours of work are established as needed by operations and at the direction of management and are subject to change by management as required.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Safely operate a commercial truck or tractor-trailer to transport goods to various destinations.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in good working order.
• Adhere to all traffic laws, company policies, and safety guidelines to ensure safe driving practices.
• Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, mileage, and delivery details.
• Ensure timely delivery of goods to customers and clients as per schedules.
• Handle and secure freight safely to prevent damage during transportation.
• Communicate effectively with management to report any issues or delays.
• Comply with all state and federal regulations governing the operation of commercial vehicles.
• Assist with loading and unloading goods when necessary.

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid CDL Class A.
• Tank Endorsement
• Minimum of 3 years of professional driving experience.
• Clean driving record with no major traffic violations or accidents.
• Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and safety standards.
• Ability to operate manual and automatic transmission vehicles.
• Strong time-management and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to interact with customers and team members.
• Physical ability to load and unload goods, lift heavy objects, and drive for extended hours.

Working Conditions

• Outdoor and indoor environments, often exposed to varying weather conditions.
• May require sitting, standing, bending, and climbing for extended periods.
