We are hiring a skilled Forklift Operator for our state-of-the-art facility in Salt Lake City, Utah. In this critical role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of materials throughout our warehouse, playing a key part in our overall logistics operations. Your primary duties will include operating forklifts to load and unload trucks, move inventory to and from racking, and assist in order picking and staging. The ideal candidate will possess a valid forklift certification, a strong understanding of warehouse procedures, and a meticulous approach to their work. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (sit-down, stand-up, reach trucks) to move, stack, and retrieve materials.
- Load and unload goods from trailers and containers with precision and care.
- Transport materials to and from designated areas, such as production lines, storage racks, and shipping docks.
- Conduct pre-operation checks on forklifts to ensure they are in safe working condition.
- Assist with inventory management tasks, including cycle counts and stock rotation.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring Safety compliance.
- Adhere to all company Safety policies and procedures, including the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards immediately.
- Support other warehouse operations as needed, which may involve some manual Lifting.
- Contribute to efficient Logistics flow by ensuring timely movement of goods.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid forklift operator certification (e.g., OSHA compliant).
- Proven experience operating various types of forklifts in a warehouse environment.
- Knowledge of warehouse Safety best practices and procedures.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including occasional Lifting.
- Strong spatial awareness and manual dexterity.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems is a plus.
