Our San Francisco, California location is seeking an experienced Shipping Clerk to manage outbound logistics. This critical role ensures that all products leave our facility accurately and on schedule, meeting the expectations of our customers and partners. You will be responsible for preparing shipments, coordinating with carriers, managing shipping documentation, and maintaining an organized shipping dock. A high level of accuracy, strong communication skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving are essential. This position is central to our logistics network, requiring a dedication to efficiency and safety .
Responsibilities:
- Process all outgoing shipments accurately, including creating labels and shipping documents (BOLs, etc.).
- Verify shipment details against customer orders and internal documentation.
- Coordinate with freight carriers for timely pickups and deliveries.
- Ensure packages are properly secured, labeled, and loaded for transit.
- Maintain accurate shipping records and track shipment progress.
- Manage the inventory of shipping supplies.
- Keep the shipping dock clean, organized, and free of hazards.
- Communicate effectively with warehouse staff, carriers, and customer service.
- Comply with all company safety regulations and consistently use appropriate PPE .
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a shipping or logistics role.
- Proficiency with shipping software (e.g., UPS WorldShip, FedEx Ship Manager) and carrier portals.
- Strong understanding of shipping regulations and documentation.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Ability to handle physical demands of the job, including occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.
- Familiarity with warehouse logistics best practices.
- Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety .
