Our team manages all aspects of user identity at Coinbase, including login, signup, OAuth, account security, and multi-factor authentication. The Horizontal Frontend Team within the Identity organization is responsible for developing and maintaining the user interfaces that facilitate these crucial interactions. We work closely with backend teams to ensure seamless, scalable, and reliable user experiences. Currently, we are focused on migrating our main frontend views to React Native, aiming for a unified codebase across platforms. We are also working on initiatives to support multi-user and multi-organization functionality, enabling our products to evolve and meet the demands of businesses. Our goal is to create world-class frontend experiences while maintaining low latency and high reliability, all in collaboration with several cross-functional teams. What You'll Be Doing: Enhancing and building frontend solutions for login, signup, OAuth, account security, and multi-user/multi-organization support.
Participating in the migration of key frontend views to React Native, creating an effective and unified codebase.
Designing and implementing scalable, maintainable, and high-performance user interfaces using modern frontend technologies such as React and TypeScript.
Collaborating with backend engineers, designers, product managers, and leadership to transform product and technical visions into actionable roadmaps.
Maintaining low-latency, highly reliable frontend applications to ensure a top-tier user experience.
Writing well-structured, high-quality, and thoroughly tested code to serve our expanding user community.
What We Look For in You: A minimum of 5 years of experience in frontend software engineering.
Proven experience designing, building, scaling, and maintaining production-level frontend systems.
Expertise in modern frontend frameworks, especially React and TypeScript.
A commitment to writing high-quality, thoroughly tested code that addresses user needs.
Passion for creating an open financial system that unites the world.
Nice to Haves: Experience with React Native or transitioning web views to mobile platforms.
A background in companies experiencing rapid growth (from startup to mid-size).
Familiarity with authentication, identity, or security domains.
Experience in optimizing frontend performance for low-latency and high-reliability systems.
Knowledge of cryptocurrency, including engagement with Ethereum interactions, using ENS, and familiarity with dApps or blockchain services.
