We are seeking a *Physician Assistant (PA)* to join our busy and growing *Gastroenterology (GI)* team in *Goshen, NY*.
This position offers an exciting opportunity for:
* A *Physician Assistant with GI experience of minimum 1 Year preferred*
* *OR*
* A *PA with at least 3 years of experience in primary care or internal medicine* who is interested in *gaining specialty training in GI. *
You'll work alongside a collaborative team of gastroenterologists and advanced practice providers in a well-supported, outpatient-only setting.
*Responsibilities:*
* Evaluate, manage and provide preventative guidance for patients with GI conditions in the outpatient setting
* Conduct new consults and routine follow-ups
* Provide treatment, management plans and create preventative care plans for patients with gastrointestinal conditions.
* Collaborate and Coordinate care with GI physicians and referring providers
* Order and interpret labs, imaging, diagnostic tests including endoscopies and colonoscopies
* Provide patient education and support for procedures and chronic GI conditions
* For PAs new to GI: participate in a structured onboarding program including physician shadowing, ongoing mentoring, and GI-specific CME

* *1+ year of gastroenterology experience as a PA preferred*
* Familiarity with GI conditions such as GERD, IBD, IBS, liver disease, etc.
*Also Welcoming:*

* Strong interest in transitioning into the gastroenterology specialty
