Are you ready to take your skills to the next level and make a significant impact in the world of finance? At Coinbase, our mission is to promote economic freedom globally. This is a bold and ambitious endeavor that calls for the commitment and talent of our team as we develop an innovative on-chain platform for the future of the global financial system. We are looking for a specific type of individual—someone who is not only passionate about our mission but also believes in the transformative power of crypto and blockchain technology. If you're eager to leave your mark, thrive under pressure, and seek continuous growth through feedback, you might be the perfect fit for our team. We want problem solvers who are ready to tackle our most challenging issues head-on. Our work environment is dynamic and may not be suited for everyone. However, if you aspire to shape the future alongside exceptionally talented colleagues who expect the best from you, there's no better place to be. Please note that while many positions at Coinbase offer remote-first options, we value in-person interactions and participation throughout the year. You will be expected to attend team and company-wide offsites for collaboration, connection, and alignment. Joining our compact technical team, you will work closely with Brian Armstrong, the CEO of Coinbase, to develop consumer-facing AI products. Your responsibilities will include: Designing and building core services and user interfaces that translate natural-language objectives into secure and compliant product workflows at Coinbase. Integrating risk and compliance measures directly into execution paths. Collaborating with various product teams to enhance their features through AI-driven experiences, maintaining consistency in concepts, style, and design. Troubleshooting and debugging complex fullstack issues to ensure system stability, reliability, and security. Participating in code reviews and offering constructive feedback to uphold high standards of code quality. We are looking for candidates with: Over 5 years of experience in backend and frontend software development. Proficiency in Go and Typescript. Experience with React and React Native. A history of cross-functional collaboration with legal, security, compliance, and engineering teams. Nice to have: Familiarity with financial services, cryptocurrency, or rapidly growing tech environments. Experience in startup settings, particularly in creating products from the ground up with a sense of ownership. Background in regulated financial products. Experience in applied AI technologies (such as Foundational Models, Agents, RAG). Job #: P76043 Pay Transparency Notice:
The target annual base salary for this position may range between $186,065 and $218,900 USD, depending on your work location. Full-time offers at Coinbase also include bonuses, equity options, and benefits such as medical, dental, vision, and 401(k). Coinbase is an Equal Opportunity Employer committed to diversity. All qualified applicants will be considered for employment without regard to race, color, religion, gender, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, or any other protected status. We welcome applications from individuals with criminal histories in compliance with applicable laws. For individuals needing reasonable accommodations due to a disability during the application process, please contact us directly. AI Disclosure:
For selected roles, we are piloting an AI tool to conduct initial screening interviews with qualified applicants. The tool simulates realistic scenarios and engages in conversation to assess qualifications. A human recruiter will evaluate your responses to identify alignment with the role.
