The Gist...
We are seeking a highly skilled Data Scientist to design, develop, and deploy advanced analytics, machine learning, and big data solutions that generate actionable insights for our customers. This role combines deep technical expertise in data engineering and analytics with the ability to build scalable data pipelines and innovative predictive models.
The ideal candidate is mathematically strong, experienced in working with large and complex datasets, and capable of developing sophisticated data models, recommendation systems, and machine learning algorithms. You are a self-starter who thrives on solving complex problems and leveraging data to drive mission outcomes.

What Your Day Might Include...
• Design, develop, and maintain robust data pipelines, ETL processes, and data integration solutions across data lakes, warehouses, and analytics platforms • Analyze large datasets with statistical rigor to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights • Develop, test, and deploy machine learning and deep learning models for predictive and prescriptive analytics • Build and optimize data workflows to ensure performance, scalability, security, and data quality • Create custom data models and algorithms, including recommendation systems and advanced analytics solutions • Evaluate and integrate new data sources and data acquisition techniques • Monitor model performance and continuously improve accuracy and reliability • Translate complex analytical results into clear, actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders • Collaborate with customer subject matter experts to elicit knowledge and translate it into analytical solutions • Provide technical leadership and contribute to the adoption of emerging data technologies and best practices
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field • 8+ years of experience developing and coding software solutions • Strong experience with Databricks and cloud-based technologies (AWS preferred) • Proven expertise in: • Big Data technologies and distributed computing (e.g., Spark) • Advanced analytics and machine learning solution development • Data engineering, ETL design, and data architecture • Strong foundation in mathematics, statistics, and data analysis techniques • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python and/or Scala
Certifications (At least One) • AWS Certified Machine Learning - Specialty • Data Science Council of America (DASCA) Certifications • Databricks Certified Machine Learning Associate • Databricks Certified Developer for Apache Spark • Databricks Certified Data Engineer Associate or Professional • Python or Scala programming certification
