Role Descriptions: A QA Automation Engineer specializing in Playwright designs| develops| and maintains automated test scripts and frameworks to ensure the quality of web applications. This role involves collaborating with development teams| integrating tests into CICD pipelines| and ensuring cross-browser compatibility.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and Maintain Test Automation Create| maintain| and execute automated test scripts using the Playwright framework| primarily using JavaScript or TypeScript. Framework Development Build| enhance| and maintain robust test automation frameworks (e.g.| using the Page Object Model) to ensure scalability and maintainability. Test Planning and Execution Design comprehensive test plans and test cases (functional| regression| integration| E2E) based on user stories and requirements. Defect Management Identify| document| track| and report software defects using tools like JIRA or Azure DevOps| and perform thorough regression testing after fixes .CICD Integration Integrate automated test suites into Continuous Integration Continuous Delivery (CICD) pipelines (e.g.| Jenkins| GitHub Actions| or Azure Pipelines) for continuous testing. Cross-Browser Testing Leverage Playwrights capabilities to ensure seamless application performance and compatibility across different browsers like Chromium| Firefox| and WebKit. Collaboration Liaise closely with developers| product managers| and other QA team members to understand application requirements| troubleshoot defects| and continuously improve testing strategies. API Testing Develop automated tests for RESTful APIs to ensure data integrity and backend reliability. Code Quality Participate in peer code reviews to maintain high standards for test code quality and adherence to best practices
