Responsible for implementing, supporting and maintaining the telecommunications infrastructure, select clinical Systems, non-clinical information technology systems for assigned regional area. Responsible for managing subordinates and working with end-users, vendors, as well as, other staff to resolve information technology issues. Technology issues may include phone systems, servers, computer/laptop issues, mobile phone, kiosk and other network endpoint devices, as well as operating system and software configurations.
Essential Job Functions
1. Maintains staff by orienting, and training network technicians; communicating job expectations; monitoring, and appraising job results; initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures.
2. Implement, repair and troubleshoot computers, switches, wireless access points and other networking equipment.
3. Implement, support, maintain and secure facility servers as needed for designated region.
4. Secure Electronic Protected Health Information via regular system audits, scans and subsequent vulnerability patching.
5. Assist IT Manager and IT staff in acquisitions and support needs.
6. Implement, support, maintain and secure servers as directed.
7. Configure, implement, support and modify Voice Over IP phone system(s) at various facilities, and assist other telecommunication vendors to resolve issues.
8. Assist in providing technical guidance and support to facility staff.
9. Liaise between IT and vendors during interface configurations, training and implementation of new systems.
10. Assist with upgrades, configuration and supporting patient accounting/billing/clinical applications, as well as pharmacy systems when requested.
11. Updates active directory (AD), Google Workspace, and other applications with new user accounts, proper group membership for access rights, and removes terminated users.
12. Log all requested and completed work into the help desk software application.
13. Create Purchase Orders and other assigned paperwork.
14. Install, configure, patch, and secure server and desktop operating systems.
15. Assist IT Department leadership on Incident Response plans, Disaster Recovery & Business Continuity plans and processes.
16. Assist Information Technology Manager with Capital Budget planning via determining equipment replacement needs and quoting new systems.
17. Develops documentation, such as desktop procedures, How-To-Guides, manuals on processes, procedures and practices for area of responsibility.
18. Performs other duties as directed by Information Technology Manager or Chief Information Officer.
Education
Associate's degree or equivalent in computer science or a related field required. Certified on Microsoft Desktop and Server operating systems (MCSA or equivalent) required. Bachelor's Degree in Management Information Systems as well as additional networking certifications such as Network + or CCNA, preferred.
Experience
Minimum of two (2) years experience as network technician or network administrator support role, and a minimum of two (2) years experience with cisco networking or similar equipment required.
