Job Description:
We are seeking a
Senior Software Engineer
with strong embedded systems expertise to join our client's team in Mossville, IL. This role focuses on the development and integration of embedded software for electronic control systems, displays, and telematics in heavy equipment and machinery.
Responsibilities: Design and develop real-time embedded software, including device drivers and chip-level interfaces. Develop and interface with SPI, I2C, and other peripherals. Configure operating systems, manage board initialization, and implement hardware diagnostics. Handle non-volatile memory interfacing and hardware-level configuration. Troubleshoot and debug software and hardware issues using tools like oscilloscopes and logic analyzers. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including hardware, systems, and test engineering. Utilize Git for source control and version management. Required Skills:
Real-time embedded software
development experience. Strong experience with
device driver development
and
chip-level integration . Proficiency in
SPI/I2C communication , hardware diagnostics, and OS configuration. Hands-on experience with
oscilloscopes
and debugging embedded hardware/software. Expertise in
Git
for source control. Solid understanding of
RTOS
(Real-Time Operating System) concepts and experience with RTOS integration and configuration. Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in automotive, heavy equipment, or industrial control systems. Background in embedded telematics or display systems. Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
