About the Role
This is a hands-on backend engineering role where you'll design and build core systems that power the platform. You'll work on new features, influence architecture decisions, and collaborate closely with a team that values clean code and thoughtful engineering.
This is not a maintenance-heavy role - you'll be actively building, improving, and shaping the product.
What You'll Do
Design and develop scalable backend services using
TypeScript and Node.js Build and maintain APIs and data pipelines using
PostgreSQL Apply strong object-oriented design principles to create clean, maintainable systems Leverage modern AI-assisted development tools to improve productivity and code quality Collaborate with engineers on feature development, system design, and performance optimization Take ownership of projects from initial design through production deployment What We're Looking For
5+ years of backend software engineering experience Strong proficiency in
TypeScript, Node.js , and relational databases (PostgreSQL preferred) Experience designing scalable systems and writing maintainable, well-structured code Comfortable participating in code reviews and providing constructive feedback Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment Proactive mindset with the ability to operate independently Nice to Have
Experience with
AWS services , serverless architecture, or Kubernetes Familiarity with NoSQL databases such as DynamoDB Background in application security or DevSecOps Experience working in startup or high-growth environments What Makes This Role Different
