We are seeking an Analytics Specialized Solutions Architect, a Subject Matter Expert (SME) who can guide customers in harnessing AWS services to overcome their most pressing business challenges. AWS Solution Architects enjoy a prestigious and visible role, collaborating across teams to enhance the customer’s technical journey. We engage directly with technical and business leaders to facilitate customer growth and adoption. AWS Specialist Solutions Architects (SSAs) possess in-depth domain expertise, addressing advanced technologies and design challenges. Within the AWS sales team, they tackle complex issues that demand expert-level insights. SSAs design scalable, flexible, and resilient technical architectures to meet these challenges, whether it involves guiding customers in refactoring applications or creating entirely new cloud-based systems. If you thrive on solving unique technical challenges, this is the role for you! The Area Specialist Team comprises experts focused on directly resolving complex customer issues. We are integral to account planning, opportunity identification, and pursuit, remaining closely aligned with our customers and relaying valuable insights to our product teams to enhance the product roadmap. Our work shines when customers aim high and need specialized knowledge to innovate. Key Responsibilities: Offer customers profound technical expertise in your domain to foster the adoption of AWS products aligned with customer objectives.
Work collaboratively with specialists, sales, marketing, and product teams to brainstorm solutions for customers' significant business challenges.
Serve as a trusted advisor to business and C-suite leaders.
Lead architectural reviews and workshops to facilitate the customer's technical aspirations.
Contribute thought leadership by sharing best practices through channels like AWS blogs, whitepapers, and public speaking at events such as AWS Summit and AWS re: Invent. Be an influential figure in AWS technical communities.
Educate customers on AWS's value proposition and engage in architectural discussions to ensure successful cloud solution deployment.
Provide insights and feedback on effective strategies back to the broader community and product teams, acting as the key contact for urgent customer inquiries in your technical specialty.

Basic Qualifications: 8+ years of experience in specific technology domains (e.g., software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics).
3+ years of experience in design, implementation, or consulting on applications and infrastructures.
10+ years of experience in IT development or consulting within the software or Internet industries.
Preferred Qualifications: 5+ years of experience in infrastructure architecture, database architecture, and networking.
Experience collaborating with end-user or developer communities.
Knowledge of data engineering pipelines, cloud solutions, ETL management, databases, and analytical platforms.
Understanding of open table formats, particularly Iceberg.
Familiarity with data foundation principles that support agentic systems.

The base salary range for this role is as follows: USA, AZ, TEMPE - $153,600 - $207,800 annually; USA, CA, Mountain View - $176,600 - $239,000 annually; USA, CA, San Francisco - $176,600 - $239,000 annually; USA, CO, Denver - $153,600 - $207,800 annually; USA, TX, Dallas - $153,600 - $207,800 annually; USA, WA, Redmond - $153,600 - $207,800 annually.
