Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Data Analyst specializing in Quality Improvement and Patient Safety to join our dynamic team. As a Data Analyst, you will play a critical role in analyzing and interpreting healthcare data to drive improvements in patient safety, care quality, and operational efficiency. Your expertise in data analysis, statistical modeling, and healthcare systems will be instrumental in identifying opportunities for enhancing patient outcomes, strategic decision making, providing data-driven insights, reducing errors, and promoting a culture of safety within our organization. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, data science, statistics, or a related field. A master's degree is preferred. Proven experience in healthcare data analysis, preferably within a Quality and Safety department or within a clinical or hospital setting. CHDA, CPHQ or CPPS certification preferred or other healthcare data analyst certification Knowledge of healthcare systems, patient safety principles, quality improvement methodologies (e.g., CPHQ, CPPS, or Lean Six Sigma certifications preferred), and regulatory requirements (e.g., CMS guidelines) is highly desirable. Familiarity with Meditech EMR, incident reporting systems, patient safety indicators, and other relevant quality improvement metrics is a plus. Proficiency in statistical analysis software and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau). Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work with large datasets and draw meaningful conclusions from complex data. Knowledge of healthcare systems, terminologies (e.g., ICD-10, CPT), and industry standards (e.g., HL7) is highly desirable. Familiarity with healthcare regulations, compliance, and privacy requirements, including HIPAA. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present findings to diverse audiences.
