Key Responsibilities Innovate with AI & Generate Responsibility
- Design AI solutions leveraging Python, computer vision, and generative models, including LLMs and diffusion models. Prioritize responsible development that aligns with Humana's ethical principles emphasizing transparency, safety, and tangible real-world impacts.
Create Autonomous AI Systems
- Develop and implement autonomous AI agents using frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, AutoGen, and CrewAI to enhance reasoning and decision-making in healthcare settings.
Integrate AI within Enterprise
- Incorporate AI into Humana's core systems and workflows. Collaborate with business units to identify challenges, co-develop solutions, and effectively communicate AI capabilities, especially in generative AI. Ensure designs are scalable, reliable, and compliant.
Collaborate in MLOps & DevOps
- Partner with engineering and product teams to follow best practices in deploying and maintaining AI models in production environments.
Launch data science initiatives that generate insights and influence strategic decisions at the Enterprise AI level.
Encourage teamwork among data scientists, software engineers, and key stakeholders to deliver AI solutions that provide substantial business value.
Develop and fine-tune complex machine learning models and algorithms.
Integrate machine learning models into our production systems effectively.
Create impactful reports, projections, models, and presentations to assist business objectives.
Make Your Skills Count Required Qualifications Bachelor's Degree and 5+ years of experience OR Master's Degree and 3+ years of experience in research/ML engineering or applied research related to production-ready AI solutions development.
Experience in designing Agentic AI Systems.
Proven collaboration with MLOps and DevOps teams.
Proficiency in SQL, Python, and data analysis/data mining tools.
Familiarity with machine learning frameworks like Scikit-Learn, TensorFlow, or PyTorch.
Experience working on high-performance, large-scale machine learning systems.
Knowledge of language modeling with transformers.
Experience with reinforcement learning techniques.
Skilled in large-scale ETL processes.
Preferred Qualifications Ph.D. in Computer Science, Data Science, Machine Learning, or a related discipline.
Experience in healthcare or medical data analytics, including claims and authorizations.
Additional Information Work Style:
This role supports a hybrid work model, with 3 days in-office and 2 days remote. Office Location:

Scheduled Weekly Hours 40 Pay Range The compensation range outlined reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full-time employment (40 hours weekly) at the time of posting. Actual pay may vary by geographic location and will depend on demonstrated skills, experience, and qualifications. $117,600 - $161,700 per year This position is eligible for a bonus incentive plan based on both company and individual performance.
