Job Description
The AI Enterprise Applications Engineer will design and deliver AI-powered solutions within our enterprise technology ecosystem. This role involves providing functional and technical support for core business systems while utilizing AI tools to enhance efficiency across financial operations, warehouse management, supply chain, customer engagement, and system integrations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in building AI solutions and will apply this knowledge to optimize enterprise applications effectively.
Responsibilities
Design and build AI-powered agents and workflows that automate business processes across various departments including Finance, Sales, Customer Experience, Supply Chain, and Warehouse.
Develop production-ready solutions using AI platforms such as Microsoft Copilot and AI Builder.
Build integrations between AI systems and enterprise applications, connecting intelligent automation to data and processes in ERP, CRM, and other systems of record.
Design AI workflows with Human-in-the-Loop architecture for sensitive financial and operational data.
Create data pipelines that feed AI systems with clean, structured enterprise data.
Design end-to-end business solutions spanning multiple enterprise systems including ERP, CRM, and warehouse management.
Develop technical architecture documentation and solution blueprints for complex business requirements.
Support and optimize enterprise financial modules including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, and Cost Accounting.
Design and optimize warehouse management and supply chain processes within the ERP system.
Architect integrations and reporting solutions for visibility into financial and operational performance.
Design cross-platform integration architecture to ensure seamless data flow across systems.
Implement enterprise integration patterns and middleware solutions for scalable integration architecture.
Ensure master data consistency and develop data governance practices across the enterprise ecosystem.
Evaluate AI tools and recommend platform decisions to leadership.
Develop and maintain AI governance policies for responsible AI use.
Provide functional support for enterprise system users and oversee environment administration.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business processes and translate requirements into technical specifications.
Essential Skills
2-3+ years of hands-on use of AI tools for building production solutions including coding and automation.
3 years of experience with enterprise business applications in functional, techno-functional, or development roles.
Proficient in generative AI and large-language-model ecosystems.
Programming proficiency in Python and/or JavaScript/TypeScript.
Strong SQL skills and experience with enterprise integration patterns.
Ability to build workflow automations using platforms like Power Automate and AI Builder.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field.
Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 is a plus.
Experience in distribution, warehousing, manufacturing, or service environments is a plus.
Understanding of AI governance principles and human-in-the-loop design.
Work Environment
This hybrid role focuses on AI integration and requires on-site presence for the initial weeks to meet the team and understand business needs. Post-training, the position involves working 2 days on-site and 3 days remotely. Collaboration with AI integration teams will be a key aspect of the role
Job Type & Location
This is a Permanent position based out of Ronkonkoma, NY.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $130000.00 - $145000.00/yr.
90 days you will be eligible to participate in our benefits program, which includes medical, dental, vision insurance, 401(k), STD, LTD, Life Insurance, etc., all of which will be described in more detail during your employee orientation. In addition, you will receive two (2) weeks of vacation, in addition to six (6) sick days, which you begin accruing upon your date of hire and can use upon the completion of 90 days Medical, dental, and vision coverage for you and your eligible dependents. We have two types of plans with many different options. The benefit package is contributory. For example, should you choose to join Oxford Liberty your weekly contribution would be $40.00 which includes the cost of health, dental and vision. This includes a gym membership reimbursement if you meet the qualifications. Short-Term Disability Plan (STD) This benefit would pay sixty percent (60%) of your regular salary for a period of time up to twelve (12) weeks should you become disabled. New York State STD This benefit provides weekly cash benefits to replace, in part, wages lost due to injuries or illnesses that do not arise out of or in the course of employment. Long-Term Disability Plan (LTD) This benefit would pay sixty percent (60%) of your regular salary for an extended period of time. 401K and Company Match Life Insurance Full-time employees are eligible for and are automatically enrolled in a group term life insurance program. The Company pays the premium for this program. Mass Mutual Life Insurance Employees have the option to purchase an additional insurance plan up to $500,000 Tuition Reimbursement Policy will reimburse an employee up to a maximum of $5,250.00 per year for continuing education through an accredited program that either offers growth in an area related to his or her current position or that which may lead to promotional opportunities.
