Warehouse Assistant

Job Description

Job Summary: American Grit Electric is looking for a reliable and organized Warehouse Assistant to join our logistics team in Choctaw. In this role, you will act as a key support player, ensuring our residential and commercial crews are loaded out and ready for the field. You’ll work alongside our warehouse staff to maintain an organized inventory and ensure every job tote is accurately staged. If you are a team player who is physically active and enjoys a structured, fast-paced environment, this is the position for you.

Responsibilities:

• Team Collaboration: Work directly with our warehouse team to handle high-volume material receiving and daily logistics.
• Job Staging: Follow material pick-lists to load job totes with specific electrical components (breakers, wire, boxes, devices) for the next day's projects.
• Delivery & Receiving: Assist in unloading vendor trucks and verifying that quantities match purchase orders.
• Crew Support: Help field technicians load and secure materials in company vehicles to ensure a prompt departure.
• Inventory Maintenance: Assist in labeling, sorting, and restocking shelves to keep the warehouse organized and easy to navigate.
• Shop Upkeep: Share responsibility for keeping the warehouse, yard, and loading zones clean and safe.

Qualifications:

• Team Player: Ability to take direction and work effectively within a professional shop environment.
• Physical Stamina: Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs and stay active throughout the shift.
• Trade Literacy: Basic familiarity with electrical parts and materials is preferred (we will train the right person on our specific inventory).
• Attention to Detail: Ability to accurately count and verify small parts to ensure crews have exactly what they need for each job.
• Reliability: A consistent track record of being on time and ready to work.
• Driver’s License: Valid Oklahoma Driver’s License required.
