We are seeking a dependable and physically capable Material Handler to support our logistics operations in Raleigh, North Carolina. As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for the movement of goods within our facility, ensuring that materials are safely and efficiently transported to their designated locations. This role is critical to maintaining the flow of products through our warehouse. You will operate various types of equipment, load and unload trucks, and assist with inventory management. A strong emphasis on safety, including the correct use of personal protective equipment (PPE), is paramount. Responsibilities:
- Safely move materials and products within the warehouse using forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.
- Load and unload incoming and outgoing shipments from trucks.
- Receive, identify, and store materials in designated warehouse locations.
- Transport materials to and from production areas, staging areas, or shipping docks.
- Perform regular checks on material handling equipment and report any maintenance needs.
- Assist with inventory control, including cycle counts and stock put-away.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, adhering to all safety regulations.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures, ensuring the proper use of PPE.
- Pick and prepare materials for various operational needs.
- Collaborate with other warehouse staff to ensure efficient operations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse/logistics role is required.
- Ability to operate material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Physical strength and stamina to perform tasks including frequent lifting, bending, and standing.
- Capability to lift up to 60 pounds frequently.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety protocols and the importance of PPE.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of inventory control and logistics operations is beneficial.
