Become an essential part of our logistics team as an Order Picker in Des Moines, Iowa. We are looking for energetic and reliable individuals to accurately select and prepare products for shipment. Your role as an Order Picker directly impacts customer satisfaction and the efficiency of our supply chain. You will be responsible for navigating our warehouse, identifying items, and ensuring they are correctly picked and staged for packaging.
Responsibilities:
- Receive and interpret order requests from pick lists or scanning devices.
- Locate and retrieve specified items from warehouse shelves and storage locations.
- Verify item numbers, quantities, and descriptions against the order.
- Stage picked items in designated areas for packing and shipping.
- Operate manual pallet jacks and other basic material handling equipment.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work environment, following all safety guidelines.
- Participate in inventory control activities as needed.
- Ensure adherence to all company policies, with a focus on safety and the correct use of PPE.
Previous experience in a warehouse, order picking, or similar role is advantageous. Ability to read and understand written instructions and product labels. Must be capable of frequent bending, stooping, reaching, and lifting up to 50 pounds. A strong commitment to workplace safety and the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment is mandatory. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Basic math skills are helpful for inventory tasks. This position is key to our Des Moines logistics operations, contributing to our goal of providing excellent service. We value your dedication to accuracy and safety.
