We are hiring a Receiving Clerk for our Minneapolis, Minnesota facility. The Receiving Clerk plays a vital role in our logistics operations by ensuring the accurate and efficient processing of incoming goods. This position involves unloading shipments, inspecting items for damage or discrepancies, documenting received products, and preparing them for storage or further processing. A meticulous approach and a strong commitment to Safety are paramount. You will be part of a dedicated team focused on maintaining the integrity of our supply chain. Proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and adherence to all safety protocols, including those concerning Lifting, are mandatory.
Responsibilities:
- Unload incoming freight from trucks, accurately verifying contents against shipping documents.
- Inspect all received goods for damage, defects, or discrepancies and report findings immediately.
- Accurately record received inventory into the warehouse management system.
- Label and stage received products for put-away or distribution.
- Maintain a clean and organized receiving area, adhering to all Safety standards.
- Operate pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment safely.
- Assist with inventory counts and reconciliation as needed.
- Follow all company policies and procedures, including those related to PPE and workplace Safety.
- Adhere to all Lifting requirements and guidelines to ensure personal and team Safety.
- Support the broader Logistics team with timely processing of inbound goods.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a receiving or warehouse environment preferred.
- Ability to read and understand shipping documents and product labels.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Knowledge of Safety procedures in a warehouse setting.
- Ability to perform tasks involving frequent Lifting, up to 40 lbs.
- Experience with WMS or inventory tracking software is a plus.
- Commitment to wearing required PPE.
- Understanding of basic Logistics principles.
