Our Sacramento, California location is hiring Picker/Packers to join our fast-paced logistics team. In this crucial role, you will be responsible for accurately retrieving items from warehouse shelves and meticulously preparing them for shipment. Your attention to detail ensures that customer orders are fulfilled correctly, minimizing errors and enhancing customer satisfaction. You will work with various scanning equipment to locate products and verify order details. Following this, you will pack items using appropriate materials to ensure they arrive at their destination in perfect condition. We prioritize a safe working environment, and adherence to all Safety procedures is mandatory. This position is ideal for individuals who are agile, accurate, and committed to contributing to efficient warehouse operations.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from warehouse locations based on order requirements, using RF scanners or pick sheets.
- Pack picked items into appropriate shipping containers, ensuring contents are secure and protected.
- Verify order accuracy, checking item codes, quantities, and descriptions.
- Use materials such as boxes, tape, bubble wrap, and labels correctly.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace to promote efficiency and safety.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the use of required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Assist with inventory management tasks, such as cycle counts and stock checks.
- Meet established performance metrics for picking and packing speed and accuracy.
- Collaborate effectively with team members to meet daily logistics goals.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in picking, packing, or a similar warehouse role is preferred.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including Lifting items up to 50 pounds.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Basic understanding of warehouse operations and inventory control.
- Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume logistics environment.
- Must be able to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods.
- Willingness to follow all safety guidelines and wear appropriate PPE.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
