We are seeking a skilled Reach Truck Operator to join our advanced logistics facility in Raleigh, North Carolina. In this crucial role, you will operate a reach truck to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise in the warehouse. Ensuring efficient material flow and safe operation of equipment is paramount. This position demands precision, vigilance, and a strong commitment to Safety and operational excellence. You will play a key role in managing our inventory effectively.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a reach truck to move pallets of goods to and from racking systems.
- Load and unload trucks efficiently and accurately.
- Store products in designated warehouse locations, ensuring proper placement and stability.
- Retrieve products for order fulfillment or replenishment as directed.
- Conduct daily pre-operational checks on the reach truck and report any issues immediately.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work environment, ensuring clear pathways for operation.
- Adhere strictly to all company Safety policies, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Participate in inventory counts and audits, providing accurate location data.
- Perform tasks that may involve occasional Lifting of items not on pallets.
- Work collaboratively with other warehouse staff to optimize logistics operations.
- Follow all guidelines related to material handling and storage.
- Report any safety hazards or concerns promptly.
Qualifications:
- Valid certification and proven experience operating a reach truck.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a warehouse or logistics environment.
- Demonstrated understanding of warehouse racking systems and inventory management.
- Strong knowledge of forklift and reach truck Safety procedures.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
- Must be reliable, punctual, and possess a strong work ethic.
- Familiarity with warehouse Safety protocols and the importance of PPE.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Physical ability to perform occasional manual tasks.
