Seeking an experienced Inventory Control Specialist for our St. Louis, Missouri location. In this critical role, you will be responsible for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our warehouse inventory. Your expertise will ensure that our logistics operations run smoothly and efficiently, minimizing discrepancies and optimizing stock levels. This position requires a keen eye for detail and a strong understanding of inventory management principles.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
- Manage and maintain inventory records in our WMS (Warehouse Management System).
- Implement and improve inventory control procedures.
- Monitor stock levels and identify potential shortages or overages.
- Ensure proper organization and storage of inventory within the warehouse.
- Collaborate with warehouse and logistics teams to improve inventory accuracy.
- Train other staff members on inventory control best practices.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and ensure proper use of PPE.
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree in a related field preferred.
- Proven experience in inventory control or warehouse management.
- Proficiency in WMS software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Knowledge of logistics and supply chain principles.
- Ability to perform physical tasks as needed, including lifting up to 30 pounds.
- Commitment to safety and adherence to all relevant guidelines, including PPE.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
