Seeking experienced Forklift Operators to join our warehouse team in Nashville, Tennessee! As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently moving, locating, relocating, stacking, and counting merchandise. Your primary focus will be on operating industrial trucks to move goods and materials around the warehouse, ensuring product availability and order fulfillment. We are committed to maintaining a high standard of Safety and require all operators to be vigilant and adhere to strict protocols, including the proper use of PPE.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up, reach trucks) in a safe and efficient manner.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and trailers.
- Transport materials to and from designated storage areas.
- Stack and stage materials for order picking or shipping.
- Perform pre-operation checks on forklifts to ensure they are in good working condition.
- Maintain accurate records of material movement and inventory.
- Adhere to all Safety regulations, including those related to forklift operation and general warehouse conduct.
- Ensure proper use of PPE at all times.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as needed, such as picking, packing, or general labor, particularly involving Lifting.
- Participate in regular Safety training and team meetings focused on logistics efficiency.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Forklift Operator with valid certification.
- Proficiency in operating various types of forklifts.
- Knowledge of warehouse operations and Safety procedures.
- Ability to perform Lifting and other physical tasks as required.
- Strong understanding of material handling principles and logistics.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to Safety.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must be able to work flexible hours if needed.
- Valid driver's license preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
