Join our team in St. Louis, Missouri, as a Receiving Clerk! We are looking for an organized and vigilant individual to manage the efficient processing of incoming goods into our warehouse. This role is fundamental to maintaining accurate inventory levels and supporting the smooth flow of our Logistics operations. You will be tasked with inspecting, counting, and documenting all incoming shipments, ensuring they match purchase orders and other documentation. A strong commitment to Safety is mandatory, and all employees are required to follow Safety protocols and use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) correctly. This position involves active physical work, including regular Lifting.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and inspect all incoming shipments for damage or discrepancies.
- Verify quantities and descriptions of goods received against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Accurately record received items into the company's inventory system.
- Label received products and prepare them for storage or distribution.
- Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe work environment in the receiving area.
- Communicate any issues, discrepancies, or damages to supervisors promptly.
- Adhere to all established Safety procedures and company policies.
- Ensure the proper use of required PPE at all times.
- Assist with other warehouse tasks as needed to support overall Logistics objectives.
- Perform manual handling and Lifting of received goods, adhering to safe lifting practices.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Prior experience in a warehouse or receiving environment is advantageous.
- Basic computer skills and ability to learn new software.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in counting and recording.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Understanding of warehouse Safety procedures.
- Must be able to perform tasks involving moderate Lifting (up to 40 lbs).
- Familiarity with basic Logistics and inventory concepts.
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
- Willingness to consistently wear and use provided PPE.
