We are looking for a meticulous and organized Receiving Clerk to join our busy logistics hub in Jacksonville, Florida. As a Receiving Clerk, you will be the first point of contact for incoming shipments, ensuring that all goods are received, inspected, and documented accurately. Your attention to detail is paramount in this role, as it directly impacts inventory accuracy and operational efficiency. You will work closely with our logistics team to manage the flow of products into the warehouse and prepare them for their next steps in the supply chain. This position is vital for maintaining the integrity of our inventory and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
- Receive and inspect all incoming shipments for damage and discrepancies.
- Verify quantities against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Accurately record received goods into the warehouse management system (WMS).
- Tag and label inventory appropriately.
- Report any issues or discrepancies to supervisors immediately.
- Coordinate with carriers for pickup and delivery schedules.
- Maintain a clean and orderly receiving area.
- Adhere to all company Safety policies and wear appropriate PPE .
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Previous experience in receiving, inventory control, or logistics is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in data entry and basic computer skills.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform moderate Lifting (up to 30 lbs).
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and shipping documentation.
