Join our bustling warehouse as a Material Handler in Huntsville, Alabama! In this vital role, you will be responsible for the movement, storage, and organization of materials throughout the facility. Your efficiency and attention to detail are key to ensuring that products are where they need to be, when they need to be. This position is crucial for the smooth operation of our logistics network, supporting order fulfillment and inventory management. You'll be working in a fast-paced environment that prioritizes safety and teamwork.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment to move goods.
- Load and unload trucks efficiently and safely.
- Transport materials to and from designated storage areas.
- Assist with inventory control, including cycle counts and stock replenishment.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Follow all safety guidelines and procedures, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Identify and report any damaged materials or equipment malfunctions.
- Pick and stage orders as required.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency of the warehouse logistics operations.
- This role requires significant manual Lifting of items weighing up to 60 lbs.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Proven experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role.
- Experience operating forklifts and other heavy machinery is essential.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including frequent Lifting, pushing, and pulling.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety protocols and the importance of PPE.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a team and independently.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Knowledge of logistics and inventory management principles is beneficial.
- Must be able to work flexible hours if needed.
