We are seeking a highly organized and diligent Shipping Clerk to become an integral part of our logistics operations in Washington, D.C. This position is responsible for the accurate and timely preparation and processing of all outgoing shipments. Key duties include verifying order details, coordinating with carriers, preparing shipping documentation, and ensuring that all shipments meet company and regulatory standards. A strong commitment to safety is essential, requiring strict adherence to protocols and the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) where applicable. You will play a vital role in maintaining the flow of goods and ensuring customer satisfaction. We are dedicated to providing a secure and efficient work environment. Responsibilities include:
- Accurately documenting and processing all outgoing shipments.
- Coordinating with freight carriers for pickup and delivery schedules.
- Generating and verifying shipping labels, bills of lading, and other necessary paperwork.
- Conducting quality checks on packages to ensure proper packaging and labeling.
- Maintaining detailed and organized shipping records.
- Communicating with internal departments and external partners regarding shipment status.
- Assisting with inventory management and reconciliation as needed.
- Ensuring compliance with all relevant transportation regulations.
