Job Summary:
Our Indianapolis, Indiana facility is looking for a meticulous and organized Inventory Control Specialist to join our operations team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our inventory. You will conduct regular cycle counts, investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, and ensure that our inventory management system reflects real-time stock levels. Your work directly impacts the efficiency of our fulfillment operations and reduces errors. You will also assist in optimizing storage locations and processes to improve workflow. A strong understanding of warehouse procedures, keen analytical skills, and a commitment to accuracy are essential.
Responsibilities:
  • Perform regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies identified through counts or system reports.
  • Ensure the accuracy of inventory data in the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
  • Analyze inventory data to identify trends and potential issues.
  • Develop and implement procedures to improve inventory accuracy and control.
  • Monitor stock levels and report on inventory status.
  • Assist with receiving and put-away processes to ensure accurate initial stocking.
  • Maintain a clean and organized inventory storage area, following Safety guidelines.
  • Ensure proper use of PPE in all inventory areas.
  • Support the overall Logistics and supply chain functions of the facility.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field is a plus.
  • Proven experience in inventory control, warehouse management, or a similar role.
  • Proficiency with WMS software and inventory tracking tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to perform tasks requiring moderate physical activity, including occasional Lifting of up to 30 lbs.
  • Good organizational and time management skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of Logistics and supply chain best practices.
