Seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Material Handler for our Milwaukee, Wisconsin operations. This role is vital for the smooth movement of materials within our warehouse. You will be responsible for operating various types of material handling equipment, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and conveyors, to transport, store, and retrieve goods. Accurate inventory management, including receiving, stocking, and picking materials, will be a key part of your daily tasks. Ensuring the safety of yourself and others, maintaining equipment, and contributing to an organized work environment are core responsibilities.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and trailers.
- Transport materials to and from designated storage areas.
- Assist with receiving and inspection of incoming materials.
- Stock materials accurately in designated warehouse locations.
- Pick and stage materials for production or shipment.
- Perform regular checks on equipment to ensure proper working condition.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to Safety standards.
- Wear required PPE at all times, including hard hats and safety vests.
- Follow all company policies and procedures related to material handling and Logistics .
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience operating forklifts and other material handling equipment.
- Valid forklift operator certification preferred.
- Ability to perform heavy Lifting (up to 50-75 lbs).
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic math and reading skills.
- Knowledge of inventory control principles is a plus.
