We are hiring a dynamic Warehouse Coordinator to manage and optimize operations at our Portland, Oregon location. This role requires a proactive individual who can oversee inventory control, coordinate shipments, manage staff, and ensure the overall efficiency and safety of our warehouse. As the Warehouse Coordinator, you will be a key player in our logistics department, bridging the gap between operational demands and execution. Your organizational prowess and problem-solving skills will be essential to our success.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily warehouse activities, including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping.
- Manage inventory levels, conduct regular cycle counts, and ensure accuracy in the WMS.
- Coordinate with transportation carriers to schedule inbound and outbound shipments efficiently.
- Supervise and mentor warehouse staff, providing training and performance management.
- Implement and enforce strict safety protocols, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and safe material handling practices.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and reduce costs within the logistics flow.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and secure warehouse environment.
- Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues, ensuring minimal disruption to workflow.
- Generate reports on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to warehouse operations and logistics.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and company policies, particularly concerning safety and lifting procedures.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in warehouse management or coordination, with strong knowledge of logistics and supply chain principles. Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills are a must. Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) is highly desirable. This role requires the ability to handle tasks involving physical activity and some lifting. Join our Portland team and take charge of our critical warehouse operations.
