Become a key player in our supply chain as a Material Handler in Orlando, Florida. This role is fundamental to the efficient movement and storage of goods within our distribution center. You will operate various types of material handling equipment to load, unload, transport, and store products. Your responsibilities will include ensuring that all materials are handled safely and efficiently, contributing to the overall success of our logistics operations. Maintaining a clean and organized work area, performing routine equipment checks, and assisting with inventory management are also crucial aspects of this job. We place a high priority on workplace safety, and you will be expected to strictly follow all safety guidelines, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). This position requires physical stamina, the ability to perform frequent lifting, and the capacity to work in a dynamic and sometimes demanding environment. Your role is essential for keeping our operations running smoothly and ensuring timely delivery of products. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload materials from delivery vehicles and trailers.
- Transport materials to and from various locations within the warehouse.
- Organize and stack inventory to maximize space and ensure stability.
- Conduct pre-operation checks on equipment and report any issues.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock verification.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Adhere to all company safety policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Utilize appropriate PPE at all times while performing duties.
- Support shipping and receiving teams as needed.
- Contribute to the overall effectiveness of our logistics and warehouse operations.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. Proven experience operating material handling equipment. Valid forklift certification is a plus. Ability to perform tasks requiring significant physical exertion, including lifting up to 60 lbs. Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures. Knowledge of inventory control principles. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced logistics setting. Commitment to wearing and using all required PPE. Good communication and teamwork skills.
