Your main responsibilities will include accurately selecting items from warehouse shelves based on customer orders, meticulously packing these items for safe transit, and preparing orders for dispatch. Exceptional attention to detail and efficiency are vital to guarantee customer satisfaction. You'll be working with a diverse range of products and utilizing essential warehouse tools such as RF scanners and hand trucks. Safety is paramount; strict adherence to all safety protocols and the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is mandatory. This role involves substantial walking, standing, and requires the ability to handle frequent lifting of items up to 50 lbs. We value teamwork, a positive attitude, and a dedication to accuracy. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items according to order specifications using RF scanners or pick lists.
- Inspect items for quality and damage before packing.
- Carefully and efficiently pack orders, selecting appropriate packaging materials.
- Label packages correctly for shipment.
- Operate pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment as necessary.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization within the picking and packing areas.
- Strictly follow all company safety rules and procedures.
- Wear and maintain all required PPE, including safety shoes and vests.
- Participate in inventory control activities such as cycle counting.
- Meet established productivity and accuracy standards.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Picker/Packer or in a similar warehouse role is preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret order forms and product labels accurately.
- Experience using RF scanners and other warehouse technology is a plus.
- Must be capable of frequent lifting of items weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to remain on your feet and walk for extended periods.
- Understanding of basic logistics and order fulfillment processes.
- Strong adherence to safety guidelines and proper PPE usage.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
