Join our dynamic team as a Forklift Operator in Minneapolis, Minnesota! We are looking for a skilled and safety-conscious individual to manage the movement of materials within our fast-paced distribution center. As a Forklift Operator, your primary responsibilities will include operating forklifts to load and unload shipments, transporting inventory, and ensuring efficient flow of goods throughout the facility. Your commitment to Safety is paramount; you will be expected to rigorously follow all Safety guidelines and utilize the appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times. This role requires demonstrated proficiency with various types of forklifts and a keen eye for detail to ensure accuracy and minimize damage. Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to move, stack, load, and unload goods.
- Transport materials to and from designated areas within the warehouse, ensuring efficient logistics.
- Conduct pre-shift inspections of forklifts and report any issues to maintenance or supervision.
- Assist with inventory management, including put-away, retrieval, and cycle counting.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, adhering to all Safety standards.
- Follow all company policies and procedures, including those related to handling, storage, and Safety.
- Work collaboratively with other warehouse personnel to ensure operational efficiency.
- Adhere strictly to all PPE requirements and demonstrate safe operating practices.
- Perform other warehouse duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Forklift Operator in a warehouse or distribution environment.
- Valid forklift certification required.
- Proficiency with sit-down, stand-up, and reach forklifts is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of warehouse Safety regulations and procedures.
- Ability to perform occasional Lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and good spatial reasoning skills.
- Reliable attendance and a commitment to teamwork.
- Willingness to consistently wear required PPE.
