Join our thriving logistics operation as a Material Handler in Denver, Colorado. In this critical role, you will be responsible for the efficient movement of materials throughout our distribution center. Your duties will encompass loading and unloading trucks, moving inventory, operating material handling equipment, and ensuring that materials are organized and accessible. We prioritize a safe working environment above all else, and expect all employees to actively participate in maintaining high Safety standards. This position involves considerable physical activity, including significant Lifting, and requires the proper use of safety equipment, including Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Responsibilities:
- Load and unload materials from trucks and containers using appropriate equipment.
- Transport raw materials, finished goods, and other items within the warehouse.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other powered industrial trucks safely and proficiently.
- Organize and arrange materials in designated storage areas, ensuring proper inventory management.
- Perform routine checks on material handling equipment to ensure proper functioning and Safety.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock taking.
- Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe work environment, adhering to all Safety policies.
- Follow all instructions and procedures for the efficient flow of materials.
- Wear required PPE at all times and report any unsafe conditions immediately.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Previous experience as a Material Handler, forklift operator, or in a similar warehouse role.
- Valid forklift certification is a strong asset.
- Proven ability to operate various types of material handling equipment.
- Capability of performing heavy Lifting (up to 60 lbs) and other physical tasks regularly.
- Strong understanding of warehouse Safety procedures and the importance of PPE.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
