Join our dynamic team in Tampa, Florida, as a Material Handler! This role is integral to our warehouse operations, focusing on the safe and efficient movement of goods throughout our facility. You will utilize various equipment to manage inventory flow, ensuring that products are handled with care from receipt to dispatch. This position is a key component of our logistics network, contributing to the overall productivity and success of our supply chain.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment to move inventory.
- Load and unload shipments from trucks, ensuring accuracy and preventing damage.
- Stage materials for outbound shipments and put away incoming goods according to established procedures.
- Conduct routine inspections of material handling equipment and report any defects or maintenance needs.
- Maintain accurate inventory counts and assist with cycle counting activities.
- Follow all company safety guidelines and procedures to ensure a secure work environment.
- Regularly perform lifting of items weighing up to 70 pounds.
- Wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including safety glasses, gloves, and appropriate footwear.
- Implement and follow best practices in logistics and warehouse material flow.
- Actively contribute to a safety-first culture by identifying and reporting hazards.
- Keep work areas tidy and free from obstructions.
- Support team members and assist with other warehouse tasks as assigned to meet operational goals.
