We are seeking a meticulous Inventory Control Specialist for our Virginia Beach, Virginia location. In this critical role, you will be responsible for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our warehouse inventory. Your keen attention to detail and organizational skills will ensure that our stock levels are precise, supporting efficient logistics and preventing discrepancies. This position is key to our operational success and requires a proactive approach to inventory management.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular cycle counts and full physical inventories to ensure accuracy.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies promptly.
- Maintain accurate inventory records in the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Develop and implement procedures to improve inventory accuracy and control.
- Monitor stock levels and report on inventory status to management.
- Track and manage the movement of goods within the warehouse, ensuring proper documentation.
- Identify and tag damaged or obsolete inventory for proper disposition.
- Adhere to all safety protocols, including proper lifting techniques for inventory items.
- Wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required by the work environment.
- Understand and apply principles of inventory management within the broader logistics framework.
- Contribute to a safe and efficient warehouse by organizing stock and maintaining clear aisles.
- Collaborate with receiving, shipping, and other departments to ensure seamless inventory flow.
