We are looking for a motivated Material Handler to join our busy distribution center in Indianapolis, Indiana. In this vital role, you will be responsible for moving, locating, relocating, stacking, and counting merchandise. Your work ensures the smooth flow of goods throughout the warehouse, supporting both inbound and outbound logistics operations. Responsibilities:
- Load and unload materials from trucks and other vehicles.
- Move materials to and from production, storage, and shipping areas using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment.
- Accurately track and record the movement of materials.
- Assist with inventory management and cycle counts.
- Ensure materials are properly stored and organized.
- Follow all safety regulations and company procedures.
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the warehouse.
- Operate equipment safely and efficiently, adhering to all operational guidelines.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Previous experience as a material handler or in a similar warehouse role is preferred.
- Proven ability to operate forklifts or other powered industrial trucks (certification preferred).
- Ability to perform frequent lifting of up to 60 lbs.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and the correct use of PPE.
- Understanding of basic inventory control principles.
- Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, including standing, walking, and lifting for extended periods.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
