Are you a certified and experienced Forklift Operator looking for a stable career? We have an immediate opening in Columbus, Ohio. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of forklifts to move, load, unload, and stack materials within our warehouse. This role is critical to our logistics operations, ensuring the smooth flow of goods and maintaining inventory accuracy. You will operate various types of forklifts and may be involved in other warehouse duties as needed. A strong commitment to Safety is paramount; you must strictly adhere to all safety procedures, conduct daily equipment checks, and wear all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). This position requires precision, awareness of your surroundings, and the ability to work effectively in a busy environment. We offer competitive pay and benefits for qualified candidates. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up, reach trucks) safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload materials from trucks, trailers, and containers.
- Transport materials to and from designated areas within the warehouse.
- Stack and arrange materials in a safe and organized manner.
- Perform pre-operation inspections and routine maintenance on forklifts.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns immediately.
- Assist with inventory management, including put-away and retrieval.
- Follow all company Safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of PPE.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Support overall logistics operations as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid forklift operator certification and proven experience.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of forklift operation experience in a warehouse environment.
- Proficiency in operating various types of forklifts.
- Knowledge of warehouse Safety regulations and procedures.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Strong attention to detail and situational awareness.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks.
- Commitment to wearing PPE and following Safety guidelines.
