Our Grand Rapids, Michigan facility is seeking a motivated Shipping & Receiving Associate. In this role, you will be responsible for the accurate and efficient processing of all incoming and outgoing shipments. Your duties will include unloading delivery vehicles, verifying shipment contents, stocking received goods, picking and packing orders, and loading outbound shipments. This position is a vital link in our **logistics** chain, requiring meticulous attention to detail and a strong commitment to **safety**. You will operate various warehouse equipment and must adhere to all company **safety** policies and **PPE** requirements. This role involves considerable physical activity, including **Lifting** and moving packages.
Responsibilities:
- Unload inbound and outbound shipments safely and efficiently.
- Verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Inspect goods for damage and report any discrepancies.
- Stock received merchandise accurately into designated warehouse locations.
- Pick, pack, and stage orders for outbound shipment.
- Load trucks for outbound deliveries.
- Maintain accurate shipping and receiving records.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment as needed.
- Ensure the warehouse premises are kept clean, organized, and **safe**.
- Strictly adhere to all company **safety** guidelines and wear mandatory **PPE**.
- Tasks will involve regular **Lifting** and physical exertion.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations is preferred.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including standing, walking, bending, and **Lifting** up to 50 lbs.
- Basic computer skills for record-keeping.
- Familiarity with **logistics** and supply chain processes.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Commitment to **safety** and proper use of **PPE**.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
