Join our thriving logistics team as a Forklift Operator in Sacramento, California. This role is vital for the efficient movement of goods throughout our facility. You will be responsible for operating forklifts to load, unload, move, stack, and stage warehouse materials. Precision and **safety** are paramount in this position. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of safe forklift operation and a keen understanding of warehouse **logistics**. You will perform routine checks on forklifts to ensure they are in good working order and report any maintenance issues immediately. Your ability to work independently and as part of a team will contribute to our operational success.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up, reach truck) safely and efficiently to move materials.
- Load and unload trucks and containers.
- Transport materials to and from designated areas within the warehouse.
- Stack and unstack palletized goods, ensuring stability and **safety**.
- Perform routine inspections of the forklift, including checking fluid levels, tires, and safety equipment.
- Maintain an organized and clean work area, free from obstructions.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the use of **PPE**.
- Assist with inventory counts and cycle counts as needed.
- Be prepared for tasks that involve **Lifting** items when not operating the forklift.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift operator certification or license.
- Proven experience operating various types of forklifts.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including **lifting** up to 50 lbs.
- Strong knowledge of **safety** procedures for forklift operation and warehouse environments.
- Understanding of **logistics** and warehouse flow.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
